This is what happens to fresh linen

Mom loves fresh linens ... she changes our bed twice a week. Here is Snickers and I enjoying the lovely fresh smelling linens as we usually do. Hey, we are just testing them out!!

Like ... this is our JOB, okay???? Sheesh.

Memorial Day Weekend 2008

What a great weekend we had!!! My human niece, Hannah, was over and she took me for a ride on her bike. I felt like the helmsman on a ship ... woohoo!! The worst part, though, Mommy got out her Sheep Sheers (yep, she has them) and gave Jack and I a "helen keller" cut!!! That is what Auntie Sue Hentschel (a professional groomer) calls it. Oh well, Mommy likes clean and Jack and I are clean. Anyway ... here are the pictures. Hannah and me in a great pose and then me watching out for potential danger (star ship Enterprise) ... and then, yep, Jack ... nekid Jack ... bless his heart.

Hooray for spring ....

.... because I don't have to wear these hellacious pawsitively nasty, ugly and everything else poopie pink snow boots that my mother INSISTS that I wear outside when I have to go .... powder my nose. April ... spring? Who is Fibbing???!!!

April 1, 2008 and it is SOOOOOOOO cold here in Chicago land. My Mommy almost got BLOWN off the highway when she was driving home. That was so gosh awful horribalistic!!! Well, Snickers and I are warm in the arms of my "niece" Hannah.

I am hoping for warmer weather so that we all can get outside and have some serious fun and so I can terrorize the neighbours. WOOHOO

Mommy loses EVERYTHING

Okay, I love my Mommy a whole bunch, but she loses EVERYTHING. She lost tickets to Disney, her digital camera and one of her rings. The thing is ... she is pretty neat around the house, but what scares me is she asks ME to help her look. Mmmm, hope she doesn't check eBay. (teeheehee)

Holdidays are gone

I know that I haven't posted very much, but Mommy has been very sick with what we thought was a cold, but turned out to be "namoaneeya". She has been hacking and coughing and growling and howling for about 7 weeks. She is on a new "aunteebiotic" and she seems to be getting better. I really hope so.

We have had some WEIRD weather here. Snow and cold ... warm and tornadoes. It is confusing me. Christmas was very quiet because Mommy was sick, but still working her "treeaching" job. I did get a little bit of beef and rice, though ... YUMMY.

I promise to write more this year, just gots to get everyone healthy here.

Much to be Thankful for

The last few weeks have been very trying. Grandpa had the most horrible, nastiest fall that I could have ever imagined. He had to be taken to the hospital, nothing broken, just badly bruised, BUT he had to go back to Canada as he has to go to a Long Term Care Facility. Mommy said that is somewhere people have to go when their families cannot take care of them anymore. I have had to be SPECIALLY kind to Mommy as she has cried a whole lot and it has hurt her heart. I can tell this because when I put my head next to chest, I can hear her heart crying.

Mommy went to see Grandpa and that made her feel MUCH better because she could see that he was happy and feeling pretty darn OKAY. He just loves to sit in his easy chair recliner (Mommy dragged that ole' thing 500 miles to where he is at) and my Uncle John made sure that he has a TV. Uncle John goes to see Grandpa 2 - 3 times a week to make sure he is okay and has special treats that he likes. Gee, I wonder if he likes the Milkbones I like ... I will have to send him some!!

Despite the changes for Mommy, she still cuddles us and loves us all so much. We are all well and getting ready for the holidays. We hope that you are all OKAY and have a lot of fun and a lot to eat on Thanksgiving!
